LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT

Overview

Leadership Development work has been the most consistent part of my 25+ year career. Almost immediately after completing my Master's in Human Resources Development, I was certified to deliver all of Zenger Miller's leadership development content. When AchieveGlobal purchased Zenger Miller, I accepted a role with them in business development. Eventually, I earned certifications and master certifications (allowing me to conduct train the train programs) in all three of their lines of business (leadership, sales, and customer service.) I traveled extensively conducting individual, leadership, and coach training across the United States and in nearly every industry including retail, professional services, healthcare, military, manufacturing, utilities, nonprofits, financial services, and education.  Over the course of my career, I've been certified and delivered training for countless other programs the majority of which has been leadership training for all levels of leadership. In addition, I have designed and delivered many custom courses and programs.

Custom Work

An extensive amount of my work has been developing and creating custom solutions. In partnership with my clients, I have developed and delivered in-person, virtual, and web-based training from a one-hour session introducing young people to the importance of identifying their purpose to a 10-session leadership development program designed to develop skills and effectiveness of new and potential leaders. 

My needs assessment approach is more of a discovery process as used in the consulting industry. I work hard to quickly develop relationships and build trust so clients have the confidence in me to speak openly about their concerns and needs and believe in my recommendations, even if significantly different than their original request. I rely on regular touchpoints with stakeholders and help them create buy-in and wins along the way. I design with an agile approach and believe our work is best when it is dynamic and responsive to the changing needs of learners, organizations, and industries. 

Technical Savvy

Given the evolving needs of adult learners, I invest significant energy in developing the content, courses, tools, and support they need to be successful immediately and in the future. I am technically savvy and always looking for the latest and greatest tools to design or deliver content in the most effective way possible. Outcomes

I am a high-energy facilitator. Feedback suggests learners enjoy my style and learn in my courses. Despite this, I know training is only a small part of organizational development and effectiveness. I work hard to ensure my clients (either internal or external) achieve the desired results through whatever means necessary.
